The 2019 Donna Marathon is held every Spring at the Beaches, this year it will be on Sunday February 10, 2019. (This is the Sunday of Hamcation weekend, BTW.) ARES members will provide communications support for this event, it is a fun day to get out and play with our radios and help out a good cause. For those of you that have not participated in an event such as this – we position ourselves around the race course and run a net which monitors the progress of the race and the safety of the runners. It starts early in the morning and will be over by 2 PM, most stations will be able to leave well before that time.

The course has changed quite a bit for this year, most of it will be on the side streets in Atlantic Beach. The start and finish is at the NB/AB Town Center. More info about the event may be found at – https://breastcancermarathon.com
